New Video - Punk Ass Negros
I was actually planning on creating a video on the topic of race as a political rather than biological concept, but this came to me one morning when my son woke me up. It normally takes me several weeks to go from concept to implementation. PAN took about a day.
Its been out for a little bit and its always surprising to me to see what folks think of the videos. Sometimes they see things that I never intended. Other times they assume I mean things because everyone brings their own history to the viewing. I appreciate all comments ad most have been positive.
In this video I list my definitions. There are a few in there that are jokes, but some people don't pick up on this. Its also a little strange to me how few people know about 529 accounts. At least a dozen people have mentioned to me that they didn't know what it was before the video, but they looked it up after watching.

Viewer Comment
I think you comparison is right on, but I think the problem is even worse than that. Coonery packaged amoral ignorance as entertainment. Gangsta has elevated it to a state of enlightenment. Understanding the formula "any fame + wealth = success" is "keepin' it real". Education and integrity are rejected as naive and timid. Whites have our own version of this with the elevation of the fame whores by Paris Hilton, etc. I respect your talent, and would look forward to you directly addressing this.
I actually agree with his main point which is that this mentally effects a larger population than just black folks. I do think though that the issue is more critical in the so called black community. Black kids have much less room for error from an educational, juvenile justice, and criminal justice system. I may end of widening the scope of my videos. I would certainly get more hits that way(maybe not). But I will continue to focus this community, until I have exhausted my thoughts or this becomes a majority opinion.

BBC Interview
It continues to amaze me how many folks have even seen the movie. When I asked her how she found it, she said that she didn't know and that it had just been floating around.
We were going to do a phone interview this morning, but for whatever reason, they decided that the DJ should do the interview. He(D Money) seemed like a nice enough guy. He caught me off guard with a couple of questions, but it was a fun experience. They said it should air sometime later this week.

I just hope they don't edit the discussion in a negative way. We will see.

Winning in Iraq
Why would anyone believe that Republicans would lead us to victory in Iraq when everything they have done has displayed their utter incompetence. Hell, they think we are winning.
Here are a few questions they should be answering.
1) Do you want our troops to sit in the middle of a civil war
2) How many of our troops have to die before you understand that your "strategy" is not working
3) How long do you think it will actually take for Democracy to take hold?
4) Have we been greeted as liberators yet?

Make sure your vote is counted
Every year the Dems hire buses to take people to the polls.
Why don't they just get people to vote absentee? It quick, easy and can be done at your leisure over the course of a number of days.
Given the lack of security and political motivations of the people that make and maintain the voting machines here, here, and here. I think its time to go absentee.
If they are still concerned about votes being counted, drop the ballot in a mailbox from a wealthy neighborhood. Wealthy people always get their vote counted :)

When will this coonery end.
Check out the speed and endurance videos at the bottom of the screen
You guys really don't want to get Minister Paul Scott angry. He is going to get a drop squad together if you don't ease up on this bullshit :)

The evolution of oppression
I got a lot of encouragement from my last video and I am hoping this one will be as well received. I expected about 40 hits for the last video and its still rolling along with more than 12 thousand. It's not as popular as most of the videos on youtube but my video actually asks you to think.

Barry Bonds

Barry Bonds
First off, let me say that I am not a baseball fan. In fact, I care about Baseball about as much as I care about Hockey and Soccer. They are just sportcenter fillers until Basketball and Football are on.
The excerpts in Sports Illustrated are really getting the sports media hot. In essence the article says that Barry Bonds took steroids like they were the last meal and Home Town Buffet. Tee article also goes on to say his motivation is that he was jealous of Mark Macquire during his run and the home run record.
I don't know if Bonds took the steroids even after all of this so called evidence. The reason that I call it this is that most of what the reporters got is from court evidence during the Balco investigation. In this investigation several people were indicted and found guilty. My point is, if this were real evidence they certainly would have convicted Bonds as well. he had been one of the primary targets of the investigation.
Secondly, the guys on talk radio are making much of the accusation that Bonds did all of this in jealousy of Big Macs run in 98. How in the world could they possibly know this. Its one thing to try to decipher the facts of a case, but you can never really know what he was thinking at the time. Has Bonds been the type of person that craves media attention? He seems like the opposite. he wants people to bow down and leave him alone.
Here are Bonds HR numbers since 93. If you take out his super season of 73 which came in 2001.,it seems pretty consistent. The main point of the article is that he started taking the steroids after 98, the year in which he hit 37. He hit even less the next year.
46,37,33,42,40,37,34,49,73,46,45,45
Also, people make a bid deal out of his size compared to when he was younger. He certainly is huge now, but aren't they testing for drugs now? Why hasn't he gotten smaller like people suggested he would when baseball finally got around to taking this serious.

Who do you root for?
For me rooting interest depends on the degrees of separation.
• Primary Family: If my wife gets a raise or my son learns a new word, I am personally proud because in some way I either participated or otherwise made possible the event (even if it means I just stepped out of the way).
• Friends: This depends on the friend and how much you were involved. If you spent a lot of time and effort with a person, you could feel the same sense of pride that you would from a primary family member. I went to high school with Kenny Williams, the general manager of the White Sox. I think its great that he has done all that he has, but he could not pick me out of a line up. I don’t find myself rooting for him at all.
• General Family: If one of my cousin graduates from Law school, I think its great but I don’t take any real pleasure from this. He did the work. I am happy for him, but not happy for myself. My father sometimes calls me up during a game to say that “number 56 is your cousin”. I have never met the guy before. Everybody is my cousin. Unless he plans of dropping some cash on me, I am really not that interested.
• Local Proximity: A lot of people really get into this one, but I don’t get it. If you went to the same school as Jason Kidd, what does that have to do with you unless you were the one that was actually taking his tests? I can understand if you still root for your college team because your are still involved with the school in some way, but if you are not still active from an alumnae standpoint and can’t name any of the players, I am not sure why you invest much into if you team makes the NCAA basketball tournament. I am not pulling for my elementary school to do well in the district spelling bee. Another one in this category is famous person X lived in MY city. I live in Oakland. Tom Hanks went to school near where I currently live. Am I supposed to take any great pleasure in this?
• National: With the end of the Cold War, this just doesn’t mean as much as it used to. Nothing was better from a rivalry standpoint than the USA versus the eastern block countries. They didn’t like us and we didn’t like them. Now everyone trains and goes to college here. Why does it matter where they are born when they are going to end up US citizens anyway? Should it matter that a sprinter was born in Florida versus Cuba?
My wife would probably say this is all fine, but you care an awful lot about how the Cowboys do every year. This is actually very true but there is a difference…. I like sports in general but its only football in general and the Cowboys specifically that really peaks my interest. I can remember watching their games before I went to school. My father introduced me to the team and I have followed them ever since. Because I have been involved for so long I would place my interest at the close family/friend level.

Ray Nagin thinks God is stupid

Mr. Nagin, who has quickly gone from victim to ridiculous clown, says that God caused hurricane Katrina because he/she is mad at the United States for the War in Iraq and with Black folks because of Black on Black crime. I expect this kind of bullshit pandering from the likes of Pat Robertson, but come on. This is straight up retarded on so many counts
Do people believe in a stupid god? I thought people believed that God is omniscient and omnipotent. Wouldn't God just strike down the guilty parties? Wouldn't it be easier for her to drop some lightening strikes down on the homes of Bush, Chenny, Rumsfeld, and Wolfowitz.
Couldn't she just whack the drug dealers that are at the root of some much crime in black communities. While she was at it, she could rain down on the people that grow the crops, the people that fly them in, the government officials that look the other way, and the media company execs that glorify the culture.
Why kill so many innocent people along the way? Killing someone’s elderly mother is not going to get your point across. Wouldn't God be smart enough to send a direct message and frankly call her shot to let everyone know what was going on? Every time something happens some idiot comes out of the weeds to claim god is sending a message.
When God actually wants to send a message, she will say "Hey, I did all of this shit because I was sending a message. I don’t need some half rate politician interpreting my moves!” Until then, bad stuff just happens sometimes.

Just Sad

I am not sure which is worse. The fact that black folks have to be inundated with this modern day minstrel show pawned off as pop culture or the fact that there are are so many women with such low self esteem that they would fight for the right to be with this Sambo.

Spying on Americans
This is all fine and dandy except that it assumes that people that would do us harm are stupid. If everyday drug dealers are smart enough to escape phone spying, what makes us think this vast terrorist network aren't smart enough. This is the type of thinking that would not let us connect the dots of 9/11 in the first place.
I do think that there should be some discovery as to what americans they were spying on. If they were just spying on individuals with some sort of ties to terrorists thats one thing. If they were spying on everyone making a phone call to the middle east that is another. The way these guys try to lable people, would it be unimaginable that they tried to spy on civil liberties groups? When MacCarthy was looking for communists, they also spied on Civil Rights groups.
Oh and by the way, don't try to argue that you are just trying to do everything possible to avoid another attack when just two weeks earlier the bi-partisan 9/11 commission gave you F's.
One more thing.... are we any closr to catching Bin Laden.
How do you know she is the one?
My cousin has been with his girlfriend for a couple of years now. This weekend he asked me "how do I know she is the one?". The smartass answer is if you have to ask, she is obviously not. I think the real answer is as follows. I don't believe in all this soul mate stuff. I think you need to be lucky to find someone that you really love and loves you just as much and society puts too much pressure on people to get married after a certain amount of time. If you can say yes to all of these items, she is probably the one.
- If you love and respect her more now than you did the first month of your relationship, she may be the one
- If you feel like you can work through any issue together she may be the one
- If you think that if things got a little worse and stayed that way, you could you still be happy for 50 years, she may be the one
- If you can see and appreciate other women without wanting them because you know what you have is so much more than physical, she may be the one
- If you had a daughter, would you be proud if she grew up just like her mother
- If you love yourself enough to allow someone else to, you might be ready
We do not Torture
Either the president doesn't know the defintion of torture or he is completely out of touch with what the people around him are doing (including his secretary of defense).
I personally think its both.

Katrina Fallout
Lack of experience!
Lack of imagination!
Lack initiative!
It all amounts to an absolute failure to meet the needs of American citizens.
I for one am sick and tired of hearing politicians say this or that problem was "unimaginable". I don't care if its flying planes into a building, insurgency resolve or levees breaking and destroying transportation and communication channels. It’s YOUR JOB to imagine these types of things. To admit that these things were unimaginable is to say that you have no business having the job in the first place.
There is enough blame to go around for all levels of government.
- The Mayor could have done more to get more poor people out of the city.
- The Governor could have acted faster to request federal assistance
- The Federal government should have been much faster to respond with troops and supplies.
In the next few weeks there will be a large masturbation session called "congressional hearings". These hearings will have no real purpose except to fool people into believing that something is being done about this national embarrassment. A report will be issued and suggestions will be made. I am sure everyone will have plenty of excuses that will be spun by both sides of the isle. No one will tell the truth which is, "We probably could have done more to prevent this tragedy but we didn't think it was likely so we didn't allocate any funds for it" and "We weren't organized or prepared enough". Nothing productive will be born of these hearing, no one will take any responsibility for their failures and many American citizens will have died in vain unless the American people decide to demand higher standards from the people that we elect.

Gay Marriage
Lets keep it real, we all know people that have no business ever being married. Who are we to tell a couple of consenting adults that they should not have all of the benefits that go along with the institution.
Clinton Still Strong
My basic feeling is that you can't complain about anything unless you have done everything in your sphere of influence to prevent it. I will be articulating this theme throughout this blog.
